THE HERO IS YOU: Suicide prevention is collaborative in Comal County

This powerful article dives into the incredible people who are on the front lines of someone in crisis in Comal County. The interview was held in the “comfort room” at the Comal County Mental Health Center, which was furnished and made comfortable for patients and their families, with funds from the 2022 Golf Classic.

MCOT is the Benefactor of Year Two

The CEO of MHDD praises the efforts of the 2023 Golf Classic. "The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team is continuously evolving and developing smarter, safer and more effective responses to individuals experiencing mental crises. These generous and crucial dollars will strengthen that evolution, providing people the timely treatment they need and life they want."​​

Year 3: $50,000 Donated

Proceeds from 2023 and 2024 were donated to the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT). Funds have been used to provide essential safety tools like lock boxes, pill minders, and trigger locks to individuals in crisis. Team members were able to attend vital conferences like Crisis Con to enhance our crisis intervention strategies, additionally community outreach efforts and marketing efforts and been expanded.

About the Foundation

A Local Mission With a Lasting Impact

The 4J Foundation was created to honor lives lost to suicide and to help protect those still fighting. Based in New Braunfels, Texas, our focus is local—because community-level action saves lives.

Funds raised by the foundation support suicide prevention initiatives, mental health awareness, and partnerships with local resources throughout Comal County and the surrounding Hill Country. By keeping our efforts local, we ensure donations directly benefit the people who need them most.
